
If you need to change the email linked to your BitTap account, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Log in to Your Account
- Open the BitTap official website or mobile app.
- Use your current email and password to log in to your account.
Step 2: Access Account Settings
- After logging in, click on your profile avatar or account icon in the top right corner.
- From the drop-down menu, select Account Settings or Security Settings.
Step 3: Locate the Email Change Option
- In the account settings page, find the Email section.
- Click the Change button next to your current email.
Step 4: Verify Your Identity
- For security reasons, the system will ask you to verify your identity.
- You may need to input a verification code sent to your current email or complete two-factor authentication (2FA).
Step 5: Enter Your New Email Address
- Once identity verification is complete, enter the new email address you want to link to your account.
- BitTap will send a verification email to the new email address.
Step 6: Confirm the New Email
- Open the new email and check for a verification message from BitTap.
- Click the verification link in the email to complete the email change process.
Step 7: Email Change Complete
- After completing the steps above, your BitTap account will be updated with the new email address.
- You can now use the new email to log in to your account.
Important Notes:
- For security reasons, after changing your email, it is recommended to review your account’s security settings and ensure that two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled for extra protection.
